Embark on a 22-day photography adventure from Yaoundé to Libreville through Cameroon and Gabon. You'll meet ancestral tribes, immortalize wildlife, and explore unspoiled national parks, for a unique and unforgettable stay.
Upon landing in Nsimalem, our guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Yaoundé (40 min). We'll kick off the adventure with a group meeting, followed by a welcome dinner.

In the morning, you explore Yaoundé: panorama from Mount Fébé, colorful local scenes... In the evening, you board the night train in a first-class sleeper car to Ngaoundéré, offering superb photo opportunities.

You disembark in Ngaoundéré, a place of medieval charm and modern life, and visit the Lamido Palace. Then, you reach Poli (5 hours with stops) by descending from the Adamawa Plateau towards the Benue Valley. On the road, you immortalize adobe villages and vast African plains, before a sunset in a Mbororo camp.

At dawn, you'll meet the Mbororo, renowned for their stature, hairstyles, and scarifications. Next, you'll visit Konglé, the cultural heart of the Dowayo, where you'll meet a traditional blacksmith. In the afternoon, you'll trek into the Vokre Mountains to meet the animist Dupá and photograph their farming life, dances, and picturesque hamlets.

In the morning, you'll capture the daily life of the Dupá people in the heart of the Vokre Mountains. After your farewells, you'll return to Bukaru Camp for an evening of relaxation and stargazing.

You spend the day delving into your cultural background. If possible, you'll attend a traditional ceremony, then meet with the Lamido (or his representative) at the Poli Sultanate for official portraits.

You'll return to Ngaoundéré to photograph the bustling market and Friday prayers in the sultanate, before taking the night train back to Yaoundé.

You cross the rainforest towards Kabilon (5 hours). Along the way, you will see mud-brick villages, tropical fruit plantations and German colonial remains, immersed in the lushness of the jungle.

You'll venture deeper into the forest to meet the Baka pygmies, Cameroon's first inhabitants. Capture their daily lives, their polyphonic chants, and, if possible, the mystical Ejengi ceremony, an unforgettable photographic experience.

You say goodbye to the Baka and return to Yaoundé, stopping in Ayos to photograph the Nyong River from a picturesque bridge. You end the day with a quiet evening in the city.

After a morning tour of Yaoundé, head to the airport for your flight to Libreville. Upon arrival, enjoy a view of the estuary from your hotel.

You'll depart by train for Lope National Park, a mosaic of savannahs, forests, and mountains. During these days, you'll photograph mandrills, forest elephants, buffalo, and native birds during safaris and walks along the Ogooué River.

Explore Lambaréné, a colonial town famous for the Albert Schweitzer Hospital and its wildlife. A boat tour allows you to capture life on the river and the northern talapoins.

You'll cruise the Ogooué River to Loango, where you'll explore the Akaka River and Iguela Lagoon. You'll photograph forest elephants, warthogs, hippos, and rare birds.

After a morning safari, you'll return to Libreville for a farewell dinner and the sharing of your best photos.

Finally, you reach the airport for your return flight, full of memories and an exceptional portfolio.
