Embark on an immersive journey to the heart of the Cordillera Philippine, an iconic mountainous region in the northern Philippines. This six-day exploration will take you through UNESCO-listed ancient rice paddies, remote villages, and landscapes shaped by centuries of tradition. Between hikes, local encounters, and scenic drives, this adventure offers an authentic discovery of one of the country's most remarkable cultural and natural heritages.
Leaving Manila, you'll head north towards the Pampanga/Tarlac region. Along the way, you'll discover a striking site: a church partially buried by the eruption of Mount Pinatubo.
At the end of the day, you'll arrive at a guesthouse near the volcano for the night.
After breakfast, you'll depart for an excursion to Mount Pinatubo. A 4x4 vehicle will take you to the starting point, before a roughly 1.5-hour hike to the crater and its emerald lake.
Then, you'll continue your journey to Baguio, the famous summer capital of the Philippines . Upon arrival, check into your hotel and begin exploring the city.
This morning, you leave Baguio via the spectacular Halsema road, offering stunning panoramic views of the mountains, valleys, and terraced rice paddies.
Along the way, you visit a local market and discover Igorot handicrafts. At the end of the day, you arrive in Sagada.
The day begins with a visit to Sagada: exploring its caves, the Echo Valley, and its iconic hanging coffins, remnants of ancient funeral rites.
Next, travel to Banaue, with a stop at a cultural museum dedicated to the hill tribes. Check in and overnight stay at a guesthouse overlooking the rice paddies.
Today, you'll explore the spectacular Batad rice terraces, forming veritable amphitheaters sculpted over centuries. A hike will take you to the remote village, accessible only on foot.
Optionally, you can visit the nearby waterfalls. Overnight stay in a rustic hillside guesthouse.
At dawn, you can admire the sunrise over the rice paddies or enjoy a morning stroll.
Then, return to Banaue to collect your luggage before heading to Manila. Arrival is expected in the evening.
