Description

Day 1: Departure - Tashkent

Arrival in Tashkent by Turkish Airlines TK or Uzbekistan Airways. You will be welcomed by our French -speaking guide, then you will be transferred to the hotel. After your arrival, breakfast will be served at the hotel. Then you will start the discovery of the capital. First of all, you will visit the Hazret-Imam ensemble, located in the heart of the old tachcent, including the Médersa Barak Khan (16th century), the Tellia Cheikh mosque (Friday mosque), open to worship, as well as the mausoleum of Kaffal Chachi (16th century).

For lunch, you will taste a meal in a typical restaurant in the old town. After that, you will walk in the Chorsu bazaar, the largest tashkent market, where you can explore local life. Finally, you will dine in a local restaurant, where you will taste in traditional cuisine. Then you will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 2: Tashkent - Samarcande

Breakfast. Then, you will be transferred to the station to take the "Afrasiab" train at 8:00 am (2 hours of travel). When you arrive in Samarcande, you will settle at the hotel. At first, you will discover the city by visiting the Place du Régistan, the heart of Samarcande, with the Méluli Beg (15th century), Cher-Dor (XVIIth century) and Tilla-Kari (XVIIth century). For lunch, you will taste a meal in a typical restaurant in the old town.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Ouloug Beg Observatory, built in the 15th century, then the Gour-Emir mausoleum (15th century), which houses the tombs of Tamerlan and its descendants. Finally, you will dine in a local restaurant and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Samarkand

Breakfast. Then, you will start visits with the Bibi-Khanim mosque (14th-15th century), the largest in Central Asia, followed by the market. Then, you will discover the Chakhi-Zinda necropolis, a set of mausoleums dating from the 11th to the 15th century, as well as the mausoleum of the Prophet Daniel. For lunch, you will taste a meal in a typical restaurant in the old town.

In the afternoon, you will visit the silk paper manufacturing center, with a demonstration of the old process. In the evening, you will attend the spectacle "moment of eternity" at the El-Merosi theater, which presents historical costumes. Finally, you will dine in a traditional Uzbeke home and taste manty (large steam ravioli). You will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 4: Samarcande - Chakhrissabz - Samarkand

Breakfast. Then, departure for Chakhrissabz (round trip 180 km).
When you arrive, you will visit the hometown of Tamerlan, starting with the Ak-Sarai Palace (14th century), followed by the Kok-Goumbaz mosque (15th century) and the Djakhonguir mausoleum. For lunch, you will share a inhabitant's meal. Then you will return to Samarkand, arrive and set up at the hotel. In the evening, you will dine in a local restaurant and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 5: Samarkand - Boukhara

Breakfast. Then you will take the road towards Boukhara, a mythical city responsible for history and spirituality. This 270 km journey lasts about 4 and a half hours, with two major cultural stages on the way.

First, you will stop in Guijdouvan to discover the art of Uzbeke ceramics. In this craft city, you visit the ceramic center and its museum, where craftsmen perpetuate a know-how transmitted for several centuries. You will observe the different stages of creation, from the earth to the decor, and you will admire authentic pieces, true symbols of local crafts. For lunch, you will enjoy a traditional meal in a guest house.

After that, you will continue the road with a visit to the majestic ruins of the Caravanserail de Rabat-i-Malik (11th century), which formerly welcomed travelers and caravans on the Silk Road. Right next to it, you will discover Sardoba, an old covered water tank, ingeniously built to provide water to nomads and animals crossing these arid regions. Finally, you will arrive in Boukhara, you will set up at your hotel located in the heart of the old town, a maze of alleys, physicians and minarets evoking the tales of a thousand and one nights. You will then have free time for a first personal exploration. In the evening, you will dine in a local restaurant and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 6: Boukhara

Breakfast. Then you will start the visits to Boukhara, by discovering the Liabi-Khaouz ensemble, which consists of the Nadir-Divan-Beghi (1622), the Koukeldach physician and the Khanaka Nadir-Divan-Beghi (1620), one of the most popular places in Boukhara. You will also visit the Magok-Attori mosque (12th-16th centuries) and the merchant domes of the 16th century, notably Toki-Sarafon (cupola of changers), as well as the physician Tchor Minor (“Four minarets”), decorating the entrance to the Niyaz Koul physician (19th century). For lunch, you will taste a meal in a typical restaurant in the old town.

In the afternoon, you will continue the visits with the Poi-Kalian ensemble, which includes the Kalian minaret (1127), the Kalian mosque (16th century) and the Miri-Arab physicians (16th century). You will also discover the toki-Zargaron merchant dome (the jewelers' pavilion) (16th century), the selogs of Ouloug Beg (1417) and Abdoulaziz Khan (1652), as well as the Tim of Abdoulla Khan (16th century). Finally, you will see the Toki-Tilpak Fourouchon dome (Comeration of the Hatters). In the evening, you will dine in a local restaurant and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 7: Boukhara

Breakfast. Then you will start the visits with the Citadel Ark (XVIIth-20th centuries), followed by the Bolo-Khaouz mosque (1712), the Ismail Samani mausoleum and the Tchachma-Aioub mausoleum.

For lunch, you will taste a meal in a typical restaurant in the old town. The afternoon, you will visit the Naqchbandi Memorial complex and the Tchor-Bakr necropolis, as well as the summer residence of the Boukhara emirs. In the evening, you will attend a folk concert at the Médersa Nodir Divan-Beghi, followed by dinner. Night at the hotel.

Day 8: Boukhara - Khiva

Breakfast. Then, departure for Khiva (480 km) through the Kyzyl Koum desert.
Along the way, you will have lunch in a Chaykhona. When you arrive, you will settle at the hotel in Khiva and enjoy some relaxation after the long journey. In the evening, you will dine in a local restaurant and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 9:: Khiva - Ourgench - Tashkent

Breakfast. You will start the day with a visit to the Itchan-Kala, by exploring the Moukhammad Amin Khan, the Kounia Ark Fortress, the Tach Kaouli palace, and the Djouma mosque. For lunch, you will taste a meal in a typical restaurant in the old town.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Médersa d'Il Kouli, as well as workshops of wood sculptors and a carpet workshop. In the evening, you will dine in a local restaurant. After dinner, you will be transferred to Ourgench Airport to take your flight to Tashkent. When you arrive in Tashkent, you will sit at the hotel and spend the night.

Day 10: Tashkent - Return

Breakfast. Finally, you will go to the airport for your return flight to your country, with Turkish Airlines TK or Uzbekistan Airways.

Cancelation :

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival: 30 % of the price of the circuit or equal to the deposit.
  • Between 29 and 20 days before arrival: 50 % of the price of the circuit.
  • Between 19 and 15 days before arrival: 75 % of the price of the circuit.
  • From 14 days before arrival: 100 % of the price of the circuit.
