Discovery of Balinese life - 5 hours of exploration. Come and live an unforgettable experience with this 6 -hour excursion through the culture and daily life of Bali.

Discover the ancestral know-how of the Balinese weavers.

Come and observe the technique and the textile tissue manufacturing process. It is an excellent opportunity to learn this form of ancient art, as well as to understand the role of textiles in the expression and recognition of spiritual beliefs.

Then we will walk in the countryside.

Outside the beaten track, you will have an authentic experience of Bali by joining us for a walk of about 1 hour in the Sidemen valley. Throughout the route, you will have the opportunity to meet farmers working in the fields and to understand their daily life. We will discover exotic plantations and their use in Balinese culture and cooking. By exploring the valley, our guide will explain the Subak system to you. This cooperative social system regulates water and is part of the UNESCO list. When the weather is clear, you will have a breathtaking view of the Agung volcano, a sacred symbol and the culmination of Bali, dominating the surroundings. We will cross a small river on foot to reach the property of the Balinese countryside, a small adventure!

We adjust the course, duration and difficulty depending on the health of participants and weather conditions.

Then you will attend workshops with the inhabitants of Sukahet Sari:

• Take part in a small cooking class of 3 Balinese specialties. A great way to learn how we traditionally cook with a wooden oven and taste the authentic Balinese cuisine.
• Awake your inner child by preparing daily offerings and ceremonial cakes. Learn their meaning and use during Balinese rituals.
• Discover the Balinese skills by imitating them to create decorations from palm leaves.
• We invite you to tasting local drinks, while explaining the manufacturing process.
• Learn to write your name in Balinese Sanskrit on dried palm leaves called Longar, used in the past as manuscripts. You will also discover the Balinese alphabet, Aksara Bali. A nice memory to bring home!
• Prepare the famous local drink based on “Jamu” plants and learn its health benefits.

Finally, we will have a lunch to relax and take advantage of the surroundings.
