Your adventure begins in Cotonou, the economic and dynamic capital of Benin. Depending on your arrival time (9 p.m. or 3 a.m.), you will be greeted by our local team for a transfer to your 3-star hotel. Cotonou is a vibrant city, blending tradition and modernity. Settle in for a restful night before beginning your explorations.
Discover Porto-Novo, the administrative capital of Benin, with its colonial charm and peaceful alleyways. You'll visit the Great Afro-Brazilian Mosque, a true architectural gem listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the Alexandre Sènou Adandé Ethnographic Museum. The city reveals a fascinating blend of Yoruba and Portuguese cultures. Enjoy a local lunch and return to Cotonou for the night.
Adjarra is a village emblematic of the region for its artisanal know-how. Here, you
'll discover the drum market, the making of raffia mats, the extraction of palm wine, and the production of artisanal oil. This will be an opportunity to interact with local artisans and taste typical dishes in a friendly atmosphere. An enriching day full of authenticity.
Ouidah immerses you in Benin's rich history. You'll visit the Zinsou Foundation, the Portuguese Fort, the Temple of Pythons, and the Sacred Forest of Kpassè. Travel along the Slave Route to the famous Gate of No Return, a memorable journey. You can visit on foot, by bike, or by motorcycle taxi (ZEM). Spend the night in Ouidah.
In this peaceful village, you'll experience a day of rejuvenation. A purifying clay bath, a shea butter massage, and a delicious local meal are a unique sensory and cultural experience. Gogotinkpon embodies the strong connection between nature and body care, according to African traditions. Overnight stay on site or in Grand-Popo.
Head to Grand-Popo for a day in the great outdoors. You'll explore the mangroves by canoe, the mouth of the Mono River, Salt Island, and Bird Island. Tori Bossito is an opportunity to discover traditional Benin agriculture. You'll visit pineapple fields, meet local producers, and learn farming techniques. It's a friendly day, at the pace of the rural world, where you can taste farm specialties. Return and overnight in Cotonou.
On your last day, explore Cotonou. On the agenda:
Dantokpa Market (the largest in West Africa), Amazon Square, murals, and a craft market. You'll have time to shop for souvenirs and enjoy Fidjrossè Beach before your transfer to the airport.
